At CPH, we have previously created basic BB CAPS using various plain materials, such as Typewriter, Ventile, and Giza Cotton.
For the 2024 Spring/Summer collection, we have crafted a simple BB CAP using a medium-weight cotton and linen material.
This season, we used FLAX & COTTON DYED GABARDINE fabric. This product is dyed with a special dye and has a vintage-like feel due to the washer treatment applied to the raw fabric. The fabric is woven in a tightly packed gabardine structure, and its moderate thickness provides a soft cotton feel blended perfectly with the firmness of linen, giving it a dry touch.
To make the most of this medium-weight fabric, we have applied interfacing only to the forehead area to maintain a clean front line.
Baseball caps, which have roots in sportswear, typically feature six grommet eyelets, but we decided to omit them on this cap to add a more sophisticated touch.
Additionally, the back features a matte black buckle and black decorative eyelets, which add a special flair to the back design.
One of the main reasons for the popularity of this cap is its “slightly deeper shape.” It provides excellent stability by fully covering the head, making it extremely comfortable to wear.
